Quixtar and its parent company, Alticor, have a longtime working relationship with the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and support many of their initiatives, especially those promoting diversity.

Sonya Hughes recognizes that Quixtar and Alticor have supported the Chamber of Commerce in many ways. She appreciates the financial support, which has helped pilot two important multicultural programs for her organization. More importantly, Hughes appreciates that these companies and their employees believe in the importance of diversity for the success of both business and community, and that they are willing to work to spread that message.
