 Hal and Michele Newball were successful physicians, working hard to, as Michele said, “secure the future of our children.”

But something was missing in their lives. While addressing the medical needs of their patients, they wanted to do more, to help more people.

“We saw the Quixtar business as an opportunity to positively influence people all over the world,” said Hal.

And so the Newballs, who were also successful IBOs, quit their jobs, packed their clothes, and started traveling around the world, seeking out those suffering from poverty, disasters, and disease.

Said Michele: “We wanted to help people by sharing our knowledge, our talents, and our time.”

One of their first stops was a hospital in India that was treating women and children who were HIV-positive. They noticed that many of the patients were nutritionally deficient, so they began shipping Nutrilite® supplements to the clinic.

“The supplements were very expensive because of the volume needed by the clinic,” explained Hal, “ but our Quixtar business made it possible.”

“We later met with the clinic's doctors,” he added, “and they told us that the Nutrilite products improved the conditions of the patients.”

The Newballs also offer significant support to UNICEF, the American Red Cross, and other charitable organizations.

“We are citizens of the world,” said Michele. “We want to help the world.”

“I enjoyed having a practice," Hal said. “But Quixtar has given me the opportunity to touch the lives of a larger number of people.”

He added: “There are greater causes than making a lot of money.”
