Charlie Wolf never dreamed when he began his Quixtar business that it would eventually help see him through a terrible tragedy.

He and his wife, Katherine, were building their Quixtar business together and making plans for their future, but everything changed on September 11, 2001. She lost her life on the 97th floor of Tower One of the World Trade Center, and Charlie lost his wife, best friend, and business partner.

Living one mile north of the World Trade Center with no children, no family nearby, and spotty telephone service, Charlie was reeling as he struggled to get information about his wife. People from Quixtar spent hours on the phone with Charlie late into the night, offering their support and compassion.

When it came time for Katherine's memorial service, Quixtar Inc. flew those who knew and worked with the Wolfs to New York to be there for Charlie.

Charlie credits all the things he learned in the business prior to 9/11 with helping him get through that horrific time. He also cites the support of Quixtar employees, fellow Independent Business Owners, and his customers with making him stronger, enabling him to better build his business today.
